What does the job entail?
The purpose of the Pricing, Risk and Data Analyst is to own the running of our CORE risk reports, manage the data therein, maintain and develop the models, analyse the results to provide detailed information with clear summaries and recommendations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Learn the Corona pricing systems and assist with dealing with pricing issues and queries, providing training and documentation where required
- In conjunction with the current pricing analysts
o provide analysis, comment and recommendation on the current cost components used for pricing customers
o Own the improvement of the forecasting tools and methods used to forecast prices and costs
o Oversee the delivery of the power and gas 'pass-through' and 'recovery' activities for our eligible customer portfolios
- Support the development of new power and gas products, and oversee the implementation of the product pricing and operational activities required to manage the contracts
- Support the introduction of AMR/Smart Meter data into the business as usual activities and where opportunities present themselves, oversee the improvements to operational activities and delivery of commercial opportunities.
- Owning the running and maintenance of the position reports to monitor Corona's gas and power risks
- Owning the running and maintenance of the Customer position and sales reporting
- Analysis of the report results to assure that the business in operating with approved policies
- Detect, investigate and resolve all an anomalous results, breaches of policies or limits
- Own and drive the modelling and tools improvement across the team, either through developing, coaching or supporting others
- Own and drive the upskilling of the team to introduce new analytical and modelling techniques
- Own the maintenance and periodic review of the team's suite of models, databases and systems.
- Contribute to the introduction of new pricing, risk modelling and similar systems into the Corona estate through requirements building, details design, testing and implementation support
