Our client is now looking to recruit for a Shift Engineer to join them to provide effective engineering support in terms of planned maintenance, breakdown repairs and remedial works to site equipment and buildings.

Undertaking planned maintenance tasks and repairs as instructed to the relevant engineering and safety standards and in a safe and timely manner, you will complete remedial engineering works to equipment and ensure that any risks of safety or failure of equipment or site are communicated to the Manager. 

With excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to develop effective working relationships across all levels of management and staff, candidates must possess a recognised qualification relevant to the role (e.g. mechanical or electrical C&G) and be skilled in both Electrical and Mechanical trades.  Knowledge of other engineering disciplines including pneumatics, hydraulics, steam systems is preferred. 

Self-motivated and able to make decisions, you must be open to working unsociable hours (including night shifts) and be able to react quickly to the needs of the business.

Shifts: 4 on 4 off basis over days, backs and nights
