We have an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join the
UK's largest Tray Wash service provider, as an experienced Multi
skilled Technician at their well-established site in Milton Keynes.
This is a permanent position with a starting salary of GBP27,000 and
upon successful completion of the 3 months probation period, this will
be reviewed and increased up to GBP30,000.
You will also be willing to progress in your career, as for the right
candidate, there will be an opportunity to move into a Supervisory
position (and given support and training for this).
Working on a shift pattern of 3 on/3 off on a fixed 12 hour shift
pattern of 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am (need to be flexible to work both
shifts), we require a strong, Multi skilled Technician who has a solid
background of working within a Production/Logistics/Distribution
environment.
MAIN JOB DUTIES:
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be expected to assist
in the maintenance of the site, all tray-wash machines and associated
equipment.
Respond to breakdowns of equipment to maintain the efficiency of the
operation and identify problem areas and implement improvements
Check stocks and assist in the order the relevant parts/materials for
maintenance and repair work to be carried out.
Assist in assessment of breakdown situations and inform operations
manager/supervisor of cause of action.
Complete all required paperwork required within engineering.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
This position is both Mechanical & Electrical bias
Time served apprenticeship in either a mechanical or electrical
discipline would be an advantage
MUST have worked in a manufacturing/warehousing environment (rather
than engineering) and be committed to working as part of a team
Able to cope with a fast-paced pressurised environment.
PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE BUSINESS, IF ROTATED TO
WORK, THIS WILL INCLUDE BANK HOLIDAYS (unless a request has been
approved and cover is available). THE COMPANY IS OPEN 24 HOURS AND
ONLY CLOSED CHRISTMAS DAY & NIGHT AND NEW YEARS EVE NIGHT
