THE ROLE The Project Manager will work closely with the Finance Service Delivery team and the business to lead the delivery of a key finance automation project. The role will be responsible for the delivery of the Concur Purchase to Pay project to the firm's international locations. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Project Manager will be responsible for: Management of the Concur Purchase to Pay project from initiation, through to the delivery and closure, whilst working towards agreed timescales Management of other Finance projects as determined by the Finance Change Manager or the Finance Change board Full responsibility for ensuring all projects are resourced, planned and controlled correctly, managing scope, time, risk and quality Managing and maintaining key project controls, including delivery plans, testing documentation and RAID logs Working with key finance, business, IT stakeholders and third party suppliers to define the scope and solutions of projects, leading on the resolution of issues as necessary Ensuring relevant project stakeholders are engaged appropriately Working directly with appointed technical leads and project / finance team members to provide support and direction as required, contributing towards the overall objectives of the project Provide lessons learned and activity based actions to improve the department's delivery capabilities Managing changes in an effective and controlled manner in scope with the departments Change Control Framework SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES Essential skills and experience: Prince 2 Practitioner (or similar) Good communication skills, both written and verbal, and be fluent in English Be a self-starter, who is able to work on their own initiative as well as being part of a virtual team Experience of working on large scale, multi-location change initiatives within a professional services environment 5 years + Project Management experience Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with the international teams Desirable skills and experience: Experience of working on large projects within a global law firm Experience of delivering either Concur Expense/Invoice Understanding of transactional finance processes Experience of working with offshore delivery centres THE FIRM DLA Piper is a global law firm with lawyers located in more than 40 countries throughout the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific.
