CROYDON COLLEGE

Director of Human Resources

Salary: £70,000 + benefits

Ref: 001092

At Croydon College we strive for excellence in all we do and we have ambitious plans for our future, including a proposed merger with a local 6th Form College in October 2018. Passionate about teaching and learning and its ability to transform lives, we work closely with our local community, employers and businesses, with the aim of providing learning opportunities for all.

We are a substantial provider of Further and Higher Education and located in the heart of Croydon, where there is significant town centre regeneration. We are rated as good by Ofsted (2018) and our finances are sound.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled, experienced and credible Director of Human Resources. Reporting directly into the Principal and CEO, you will be a key member of a dynamic and collaborative management team. You will lead on further developing the organisation, encouraging innovation and creativity and influencing strategy, structure, processes, people and culture within the College to ensure that all employees are fully able to contribute to driving the College forward.

You will have excellent leadership and management skills. Your leadership of a professional HR team to deliver high quality HR/Payroll services will provide a significant career opportunity and ensure the College achieves its mission and objectives.

Ideally educated to degree level and MCIPD qualified, you will be intelligent and analytical and have experience of organisational development and change management in a large organisation. Up to date knowledge of employment legislation and current HR best practice, and experience of successfully developing and implementing an HR strategy is also required.
