Priory Adult Care is the UK’s leading independent provider of specialist adult care services. Our aim is to provide the right support in the right home for all the individuals we accommodate.

With community-based residential care settings, as well as a network of supported living services, we support adults over the age of 18 with autism, dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and behaviours that challenge. We also offer a range of residential and nursing care settings for older people with varying levels of need.

Located in Diss, Norfolk, The Croft is a specialist residential service for eight adults with learning disabilities. We provide a safe and supportive environment where individuals can progress to lead a more independent and fulfilling life.

The people that live here are supported using a person-centred approach, providing a package of care and support that meets the individual’s goals and aspirations. We understand that each person has different needs, interests and hobbies, which is why personal input is so important. Our aim is to deliver a high quality service that enables people to maximise their independence.

As a Support Worker you will be a key member of our team, providing high standards of person-centred support and care to our service users. Through a creative and caring approach, you will build good relationships with both service users and their families, supporting service users in the planning of goals and in living as independently as possible. Both personal care and participation in activities are key tasks for the role, so energy and initiative is vital; experience however is not essential, providing you have a willingness to learn and the compassion and patience needed to support.

We are looking for a motivated, self driven person to join our existing friendly staff team to  help make a difference supporting adults with learning disabilities in their home and within the community.

What we’d like from you:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Effective organisational capability
  • Great team player
  • Flexibility to respond to the changing needs of those who we support
  • Strong “can do” attitude

What we’d like to give you:

  • A competitive salary
  • Enhanced disclosure cost coverage
  • Comprehensive induction and commitment to ongoing training
  • 28 days annual leave including bank holidays
  • Online benefits and cashback rewards
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • SMART Childcare Vouchers
  • SMART Pension option

You would be working waking night shifts and responsible for continuing to ensure a settled home during the night, please phone 01379 651666 for further details

Career Pathways

As a Priory Group employee, you’ll be able to chart your long-term career along defined pathways (from Support Worker to CEO), each path providing you a fulfilling work environment and support from a world class organisation to achieve your professional goals. We want to invest in you to achieve the next step in your career, so you can continue to make a difference in people’s lives.
