Internal Sales Manager
An exciting opportunity has become available for an ambitious, positive and effective Internal Sales Manager to join a Theale based B2B distributor of catering and janitorial products.
This is a pivotal role in driving the growth of the company through the achievement of sales team profit targets. You will be fully responsible for the performance of the New Business Sales Team. This is an autonomous role working alongside the leadership team to recruit, train, manage and lead a new business sales team. You will play a key role in the growth of the business and as such you should be able to demonstrate a track record of increasing B2B sales.
This is the ideal opportunity for an experienced sales manager with a passion for ideas and business development.
Lead/manage the new business sales personnel through developing and managing a successful new business sales strategy, implementing and reviewing KPIs, monitoring achievement, as well as coaching and mentoring team members to ensure success.
Achieving team sales targets.
Recruit and train new business sales team members.
Supervise all activity levels, ensuring that all team members are reaching the required levels of activity and the required outcomes to generate business and to replenish pipeline opportunities.
Conduct regular one to ones with team members to continually review performance.
Demonstrate best practice in all areas, leading by example and provide support to the team as required.
Create tactical sales plans with the New Business Executives for developing new business.
Act as first point of escalation for any customer complaints or queries through new business sales.
Provide regular reports to Managing Directors on NB Team performance.
Track and manage pipelines with all sales team members
Ensure all sales weekly activities are completed and that sales team are all working to a weekly structure
Run monthly competitions and report on them e. short-term competitions, product led etc.

Proven experience of successfully managing a New Business Sales Team, ideally within a B2B services sector/environment.
Excellent team management and motivational skills - a 'leader' able to demonstrate best practice and passionate about setting high standards for themselves and their team members.
Able to set goals and monitor performance, managing under-performance when necessary.
Ability to implement and monitor KPI's to ensure business objectives are met.
A high standard of customer service, 'putting the customer first' and able to achieve win-win outcomes for the business and its customer base.
Proven ability to attract, retain and develop B2B accounts.
General IT skills - MS Office
Ability to organise self and sales team
Commercial awareness and decision making.
