Staff Cook

Staff Cook required for a fast-growing food manufacturer based in South West London.

This is an exciting time to join as the business further expands and looks to add to the team a new dedicated staff cook. The successful candidate will join a team within a progressive, privately owned business.

As the Staff Cook your duties will include the following:

Staff Cook Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and cooking staff meals for 65 staff across three shifts
  • Maintaining excellent standards of hygiene in the staff kitchen and canteen
  • Organising and stock management of raw materials 
  • Using up surplus ingredients to minimise company wastage
  • Document all work and CCP’s according to the company procedures and guidelines
  • Pro-active innovative recipe research and generation of your own concepts and ideas creating menus and rotating these on a weekly basis
Staff Cook Key Skills:

  • Proven ability to work as part of a team
  • A passion for food, and enjoy a practical, hands on aspect of working in a busy food environment
  • Proven ability to work at a fast pace and adapt when challenges arise
  • Well organised, self-motivated, driven, innovative and creative
  • Exceptional eye for detail and a determination to see a task through
  • Good communication
  • Computer literate
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK
The Directors feel very passionate about looking after the staff, and among the many company benefits, a key benefit is providing meals to all members of staff. You will embody the principle that the canteen is ‘your restaurant’ and to treat it as so. 

Additional Details:

  • Working hours are Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm
  • Holiday entitlement is 20 Days per year plus bank holidays
  • Training will be provided for tasks required and career progression is available within the business.
