HR Advisor

Location: Sutton, Surrey

Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 per annum, pro rata.

Part Time – Monday to Friday, ideally from 10am to 2pm

We are looking for an HR Advisor/Generalist with good understanding of employment law offering a salary of £24,000 - £26,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience. 

You will work as part of a great team of experienced HR Advisors and Consultants with the opportunity to develop your knowledge and experience. You will be able to demonstrate a flexibility of approach to meet the needs of our diverse client base. You will act as a first point of contact and provide high quality, pragmatic HR advice to a portfolio of clients in a timely manner. You will also take responsibility for assisting our clients with recruitment both via online job boards and/or liaison with recruitment agencies.

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing first line HR advice via telephone and email to clients

  • Monitoring all incoming queries and allocating to colleagues as and when required

  • Advising clients on disciplinary and grievance process, from investigations to appeals

  • Advising on performance management process and sickness absence management

  • Guiding clients on redundancies, restructures and TUPE transfers

  • Reviewing employment documentation and providing bespoke documents ensuring compliance with current legislation and best practice

  • Managing recruitment activity for clients

  • HR Administration duties as required

Key skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in an HR advisory or administration role

  • CIPD qualification, or working towards

  • Good understanding and knowledge of UK employment law

  • Solutions-orientated approach with the ability to work on your own initiative

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

  • Ability to organise own workload, multi task and adhere to deadlines

  • Good team player

  • Employee relations experience would be advantageous

We work with local SME’s who recognise the need for HR support. We provide clients with tailored human resources management solutions with up to date advice on employment law.

The office operating hours are 9:00am - 5:30pm Monday to Friday and benefits include 25 days’ holiday, company pension scheme, training opportunities, health benefits (Health Shield) and regular company events.
