Regional Research Manager (EMEA Region)
THE ROLE We are recruiting a Regional Research Manager in Leeds, who will be responsible for managing the Research Analyst team and the smooth day-to-day running of the research service, ensuring that service expectations are met. You will carry out the responsibilities of a Research Analyst, getting involved in resolving research enquiries and developing research briefings. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Supervising the assessment and prioritisation of enquiries undertaken by others in the regional team Advising and guiding others in the team on enquiries they are handling Regularly reviewing the operation of the regional research service Regularly engaging with key regional stakeholders, including partners and senior level business executives Working with other Regional Research Managers, establish a business research knowledge base and develop the central research team's knowledge through the development and implementation of knowledge sharing and learning initiatives Directly involved in Research Analyst work SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES Extensive experience of conducting research, ideally working within a professional services environment, or similar fast-paced corporate environment Team management experience, with experience of working in virtual team settings Experience of using major legal or business digital information resources such as LexisNexis, Practical Law, Westlaw, OneSource/Avention, BvD (Mint/Orbis), Capital IQ and other major industry specific information resources Experience of working on a service/enquiries desk and adopting workflow processes would be beneficial Customer-focused attitude with a practical can-do mentality Ability to handle competing priorities and expectations in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining a calm and professional manner High level of attention to detail, sound judgment and willingness to consistently make the extra effort to complete what is required to a high standard Ability to communicate effectively and clearly, both in writing and verbally, in English in a multi-cultural environment Ability to proactively engage others and lead, inspire and motivate through building strong relationships and instilling confidence THE FIRM DLA Piper is a global law firm with lawyers located in more than 40 countries throughout the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific.
