LOROS Hospice is a local charity and every year we care for over 2,500 people across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. We deliver free, high-quality, compassionate care and support to terminally ill patients, their family and carers.

The following vacancy has arisen within the Fundraising Department who play a significant part in raising £4.5 million each year through voluntary income.

Fundraising Co-ordinator - Community

Salary range £20,000 to £25,000 per annum depending upon experience

37.5 hours per week

Last year community groups across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland came together to raise almost half a million pounds in support of LOROS and the work we do. We are now looking for an organised, approachable, positive and open-minded ‘people-person’ to join our team of Community Fundraisers within our Fundraising Department and help us to grow that figure ensuring that LOROS can continue to provide our unique care services in future years.

As a Community Co-ordinator you will provide the motivation, inspiration, encouragement and support that our volunteers and supporters need to enjoy their fundraising and raise as much as possible.

You will be pro-active in generating new contacts and building long-term relationships with individuals, groups and organisations. You will be involved in the planning and delivery of Community Events and Campaigns as well as awareness raising activities such as delivering talks, presentations, arranging, and carrying out tours of the Hospice to visitors.

Being part of the Community Team means that you will also provide support to the other areas of Income Generation such as; events, corporate partnerships, legacy promotion and a wide variety of other activities that come in line with the LOROS Fundraising Strategy

The ideal applicant will be passionate and committed with a great work ethic. The applicant will be willing and able to work long hours over weekend and evenings.  Due to the nature of the role, a driving license and use of a car is essential.
