On offer is a City and Guilds accredited qualification, where you will be trained on our six protective services. You will also be given the opportunity to train within our Emergency Fire Fighting Crew. 
 
As a Security Officer, you’ll be responsible for providing a high-quality security service to Securitas’ customers in Stevenage. 
 
Offering excellent levels of customer service, you’ll provide a safe and secure work environment for site staff. Specifically, your duties will involve: 
 
- Quickly responding to any emergency situations 
- Preventing and deterring any unauthorised access to the site 
- Performing internal and external patrols, which may include locking and unlocking premises 
- Swiftly reporting any lost, stolen or damaged equipment and/or property 
- Maintaining logbooks and records 
 
Interested? To be considered for this role, you will need to have an SIA licence or be willing to work towards attaining one. Due to the requirements of this role, you will also need a five year checkable employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self-employment or full and part-time education during that period. 
 
Self-motivated and focused, as a Security Officer, you’ll be an effective communicator who is dedicated to delivering an outstanding service to customers. Leading by example, you will also strive to find ways to redefine best practice. 
 
Previous experience as a security officer, gained in the security industry would be beneficial, as would a First Aid qualification. A full driving licence and access to your own transport would also be an advantage. 
 
This is a full time role working 42 hours per week including days, nights and weekends as part of a rota.
