Who will I be working with?
The Cake Crew is the UK's largest independent manufacturer of private
label cupcakes, supplying a variety of bakery products into major
supermarkets, independent retailers and wholesalers. The award-winning
business has been rapidly expanding due to customer demand and has a
workforce in excess of 250 personnel. The Cake Crew continue to make

What will this role of Production Supervisor entail?
As a Production Supervisor you'll be responsible for organising and
supervising all production staff within your department, setting an
excellent example for all team members and ensuring production targets
are achieved. You'll also be responsible for the production of safe and
quality products in accordance with customer requirements. Your duties
will include, although not be limited to;
* Working with the Shift Manager and other Supervisors to ensure the
effective running of the department
* Ensuring availability of adequate provisions at all times
* Ensuring that Team Leaders work effectively and efficiently
* Completing and checking all paperwork, ensuring they are filled out
correctly
* Ensuring all materials and products are kept safely, free from
contamination and labelled correctly
* Ensuring high standards of health and safety are present by all staff
within your department
* Mentoring Skilled Operatives to develop their management skills
* Ensuring production area is kept clean and tidy at all times
* Collecting and removing waste materials correctly and in a timely
manner, while making every effort to reduce waste
What will I need to be considered for this Production Supervisor vacancy?
* Previous experience as a Production Supervisor in a fast paced FMCG
environment, preferably within food manufacturing
* Superb organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise
workload
* Excellent leadership and people management skills
* Proactive approach to work, with the ability to use own initiative
* Good IT literacy, with knowledge of Microsoft Word
* Ability to motivate people and work as part of a team
* Good communication skills with the ability to build good
relationships with people
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and deal with conflict
Although not essential, an NVQ Level 3 in Team Leadership would be highly
advantageous.

Salary: GBP18,000 to GBP20,000 per annum, level dependent on current
experience and qualifications
Hours of Work: Day shifts, 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 6am to 6pm
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Bala (Gwynedd, North Wales). Good road links for commute from
Wrexham, Oswestry, St Asaph, Llanrwst, Bangor and Mold etc.
