We are working with a contemporary Central London based engineering studio who currently have a unique & highly lucrative opening in their office for a Civil Engineer to join them on a full-time permanent basis. This position has become available as the Directors have recently decided that they wish to stop outsourcing their roads & drainage design work and would like to employ a Civil Engineer to do the work in-house, therefore the successful candidate will be responsible for starting & growing this firm's Civils team.
Projects: Roads & Drainage Design.
Location: Central London; nearest tube stations are London Bridge & Borough.
Requirements:
* Hold a degree in Civil Engineering,
* Strong ambition to become a Chartered engineer with ICE,
* A minimum of 2 years' industry experience as a Civil Engineer,
* A broad project experience working on roads & drainage design,
* The ability to do Flood Risk Assessments advantageous,
* Knowledge of or an interest in structural engineering advantageous,
* Sufficient experience to be able to work reasonably autonomously,
* A proactive attitude to work,
* A strong willingness to start & build the Civils team,
* Good client facing skills with the willingness to seek out & win new work in the future.
This client uses FLO software at the moment, but they are willing to buy in the software that the successful Civil Engineer is proficient in/prefers to use to enable you to work efficiently. As you will be building your own team, in the future you will be heavily involved in the interviewing, selection & hiring process of Civil Engineers & Technicians for your team.
You will be rewarded with a competitive salary along with benefits including 25 days holiday & annual bonuses (profit related). They are also willing to offer financial support with professional subscriptions, examination fees & support with gaining ICE chartership.
