We provide domiciliary care and support on site to older people and people with physical disabilities in Cardiff.

How can I make a difference?

As an Assistant Support Worker you will be working within our Extra Care Scheme, providing support throughout the day to people living within the complex in their own flats. You will be involved in day-to-day support including: personal care, some domestic tasks, pursuing hobbies, support in the community and promoting independence, updating support plans and risk assessments and assisting with planning rotas.

Who are we looking for? (for more detail see Role Profile):

A background of working with people with age related physical or mental health needs is desired, but not necessary as full training and support from senior staff and management is provided. More important are;

Excellent communication skills, with an enthusiastic and positive outlook
The desire to support people living independently in their own flats
Ability to respond to people's emotional, psychological, social and spiritual needs
The confidence to work alone in a sometimes challenging environment, using your own Initiative
