An opportunity has arisen for a part time stores person to join the Stores team at the School of Science and Technology at the Clifton Campus during the busy morning period working 18.5 hours per week between the core times of 9.30 and 13.30 Monday – Friday when the main deliveries arrive and need processing.
The post holder will work with the Stores team to provide a high quality service to a wide range of customers in a busy working environment. The role involves the physical and electronic receipting of goods and onwards distribution to end users, managing stock levels and other records, re-ordering of goods, keeping the shelves stocked and area tidy.
Training will be provided as necessary in the safe disposal of various waste streams including Chemical and Biological wastes. Duties will also include covering for the other Stores staff as necessary and assisting technicians in other areas of the school with the provision of services when required. The successful candidate must be motivated, able to communicate well, be organized, have an eye for detail and be committed to providing a positive customer experience 2017 has been a year full of prizes, publicity and recognition for the NTU community, culminating in our receipt of the prestigious University of the Year award.
