Area Sales Executive (South West)
GBP30k basic + 1/4 bonus (40% of salary), realistic OTE GBP43,500 + Car etc.
To be considered it is essential that you have experience of selling
Capital Equipment (technical - mechanical/electrical)
This is an opportunity to work for a very well established organisation,
that is a leading supplier of Industrial Cleaning Machinery e.g. 'Sit On'
Sweepers . Due to the product range available the sales opportunties are
massive.
They have an excellent support network, and have a great reputation for
looking after it's staff.
The role will be Field based, and you will need to be based in the South
West as you will cover from bristol into Cornwall and Devon, and South
Wales.
Reporting to: Regional Sales Manager
Nature and Scope (including impact on decision making):
• Day to day responsibility for all direct customers within designated
region and the servicing of end-user sites for key and strategic accounts
as defined by the UK Sales Director
• Revenue responsibility of GBP550k (subject to annual revision)
• This role will require the ability to deal across functions, from shop
floor personnel through to senior management and decisions makers within
the customer organisation
• Decisions made in this role will have a significant impact on the
companies professional standing within the defined customer base
Key responsibilities:
• To operate at the highest professional and ethical standards at all
times;
• Delivery of agreed annual revenue and margin targets;
• Maximise potential revenue by ensuring all product and service options
are considered.
• Maintain a strong knowledge of all products and services;
• Maintain a strong knowledge of all competitor products and service
offerings and all key benefits that distinguish from those competitor
products and services;
• To give professional on site support to the key and strategic accounts
as requested
• To develop an in- depth understanding of the designated territory and
all likely current and future sales potential;
• Proactively identify and develop total solutions for currently
unrecognised needs within the local customer base and market sectors
• Stay Up to date with local market/ competitor and industry developments
and ensure that the senior management team are briefed on their likely
impact
• To operate at all times within the Companies policies and procedures
and to ensure that decision-making, both commercial and tactical, is made
at the correct level;
• Ensure the full utilisation of all available sales tools and comply
with required reporting policies and procedures at all times;
• Take responsibility for understanding and agreeing action plan for own
development needs
• Offer leadership in developing customer focus for other non-customer
facing colleagues.Education & Training
• Good Maths and English Skills
• Technical experience
Skills & Experience
• At least 2 years selling experience, preferably in a FMCG or
Manufacturing environment
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Competent with CRM systems
