Learning Support Worker

Coleg Elidyr is a successful and well-established specialist college for young adults with learning difficulties and disabilities.

We are looking to recruit the following positions to start in August 2018.

Learning Support Worker:

(52 weeks per annum, 40 hours per week) £17,486.89- £19,407.73 per annum

Coleg Elidyr is a successful and well-established specialist college for young adults with learning difficulties and disabilities, particularly those with autism. We are looking to appoint Learning Support Workers from August 2018.

We are seeking candidates who are able to work with our students within education and care environments. Previous experience of working with young adults with moderate to severe learning difficulties is desirable but not essential. However to be successful in this post you will possess outstanding inter-personal skills and be sensitive to students’ needs. You will assist with supporting and caring for students in in accordance with care planning documentation. 

You will also have an understanding of, and a commitment to, working with young people with learning difficulties and disabilities. You will assist with the delivery of individualised education and training programmes enabling all students to work towards their personal goals and promote the college’s commitment to inclusive education through a 24hr curriculum. You will be an effective communicator with the ability to proactively engage and empower young adults to develop their independence and take ownership of their lives.
