As Bid Writer reporting to our Submissions Manager, you’ll be responsible for producing highest quality submissions, in detail, on behalf of our Contracting division, ensuring all work portrays a thorough understanding of customer expectations/requirements. Reviewing all tender and pre qualification questions and delivering a strategy and objectives that will achieve a winning submission, you’ll also hold story boarding meetings with regional management, commercial and operational colleagues to identify and incorporate objectives within your bid strategy. The management of the production of quality submissions (RfTs, RfPs, ITTs) to the specified deadline will be a key deliverable, in addition to supporting the periodic transfer of knowledge from key resources within the businesses. In addition to identifying areas for improvement to meet the continuing demand to differentiate our submissions from competitors, you’ll also be involved in:
• tender de-briefing
• gaining feedback on submissions from clients/customers to help improve future bids
• conducting research into key industry/government initiatives and providing feedback 
• travelling to operational sites/regional offices as required.

You will have a proven, successful track record of bid preparation within the construction sector. Renowned for your quality-driven approach, you have first-class all-round communication and information-gathering skills and are very comfortable client-facing. Strong on teamwork and with a great eye for detail, you’re capable of liaising closely with people at all levels, internally and externally and can also offer:
• good IT skills, especially in MS Office
• excellent organisational and prioritising skills
• the ability to work to deadlines without compromising quality
• a full, current UK driving licence.
