Cornwall Rural Community Charity (CRCC) is a Cornish charity that informs and guides local groups and individuals to achieve their aspirations and develop sustainable, inclusive communities.
CRCC is a partner in a contract delivering an Adult Carers Service supporting informal and unpaid carers. We also run a contract which supports veterans and their families.
We currently have vacancies:
Carer Support Coordinators
- Covering Cornwall (own transport essential; mileage allowance paid)
- Various hours
- Primarily home/hub based
Providing support, advice, information and opportunities to informal adult carers and veterans
Salary £20,095 FTE per annum based on a 35-hour week (pro rata for part-time hours)
Working within a team, you will provide information and support to carers (those who are looking after relatives, neighbours or friends who need help) by delivering Carers Needs Assessments. You will have knowledge and understanding of issues and challenges carers / veterans currently face. You will ideally have experience of:
- Social care sectors
- The Care Act
- Carers Needs Assessments
- Health and wellbeing sectors
- Mental health organisations / support
- Working with statutory, voluntary and community sector organisations
- Some understanding of veterans and military backgrounds
You will have good communication skills and a strong commitment to equality of opportunity, respecting the nine protected characteristics of the Equality Act 2010.
You should be qualified to NVQ level 3 in a relevant subject or be willing to work towards a qualification in your first year. This post is home/hub based in the geographical areas across Cornwall.
