Food Service Assistant - Ty Coch Nursing Home

Linc Care operates across South Wales and provides homes and services to older and vulnerable people. Our Ty Coch Nursing Home, located next to Llanishen Train Station, offers the highest standards in accommodation and person-centred care, exemplary direct nursing care and a secure, relaxed and homely environment where our elders and their families feel that their well-being and comfort is of prime importance.

We are looking to recruit a Food Service Assistant to assist the Chef Manager in preparing meals for elders; ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained throughout the kitchen and dining areas.

Specific duties will include:

• Assisting in the preparation of the dining areas prior to the service of meals.
• Setting up and cleaning tables, washing up and serving meals.
• Preparing food in a busy kitchen
• Undertaking cleaning and hygiene tasks

You will enjoy working in a team and have a positive attitude to supporting your colleagues and the elders. You will also take pride in cleanliness and organisation on shift, understanding that Health and Safety and Food Safety are essential in the workplace. You must also be passionate about food and customer service, ideally have worked in a similar role and be prepared to work some weekends.

35 hours per week
