Business Development Manager 

Are you an acquisition/new business hunter looking to join a company with extensive growth plans, aiming to develop your career with an industry leading technology provider who are going from strength to strength?

Then this is a great opportunity as a business development professional to join a fast paced forward thinking business based out of Chandlers Ford, Hampshire.

The Business Development manager is responsible for new business development of multi-channel revenue streams through Channel Partners and Direct Customers. You will be expected to identify and perform qualification of new business prospects and progression of sales conversations through to closure.

As a Business Development Manager your role will involve the following:

Main Responsibilities

  • Gain sales and exceed target via new client acquisition
  • Generate meetings and interactions from leads
  • Fully identify and qualify all and any opportunities and requirements
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records and pipeline in Sugar at all times
  • Attend sales meetings and training sessions as required
  • All planned interactions with prospective clients to be accompanied by an agenda, agreed in advance.
  • Book meetings with prospective B2B clients
  • Take a consultative sales approach to prospective new clients
  • Ongoing research to seek identify areas of new business
  • Keep abreast of sector news and industry matters
  • Propose timely, accurate and well presented quotes and proposals
  • Request solution reviews from the Technical Manager for non- standard sales
  • Assist management where required and proactively with New Business Strategy
  • Work to ensure highest possible margin for the business at all times
  • Weekly new client handover to account management team to always be conducted
  • Attend weekly sales meetings
  • Proactively suggest department or sales enhancing idea
  • Ensure that KPI’s are met or exceeded
  • Perform any other reasonable duties consistent with the role as required
  • Identify your personal training needs that can be addressed both internally and externally
