37.5 hours per week
Fixed term contract until 31 March 2021
£21,752 per annum 

We are recruiting a Support Worker to work in our residential accommodation projects for OLAC and UASC young people aged 16 to 21. You will support with the effective day to day operations of the projects, including assisting young people to develop personally and socially in order that they may grow in confidence and independence.

Young people who have been in care experience significant social and economic inequalities. You are expected to utilise a variety of approaches to enable residents to reach their full potential. This will include solution focused, motivational interviewing and restorative justice approaches.

You will need substantial experience of working within a supported housing or residential housing project, and experience of working with vulnerable clients with complex needs. You will need to be able to deal with chaotic and challenging behaviour appropriately.
You will need to be able to maintain accurate records of contact with residents, through recording onto a database, incident reporting forms, and safeguarding reporting 
The position involves working on a rota, including some weekends, evenings and early mornings.
