CLEANING OPERATIVE REQUIRED
IMMEDIATE START - STOKE ON TRENT
Afternoon/Evening Contract
We are currently recruiting for a Cleaning Operative/housekeeping Assistant to be based in Stoke on Trent, for an immediate start.
* You MUST have an in-date DBS or DOS check (dated within the last 3 years) for an immediate start.
Main Purpose:
To provide and maintain a cleaning/domestic service in the office / non-clinal areas, ensuring at all times the highest levels of cleanliness and safety, in addition to providing a pleasant environment.
Key responsibilities:
1. clean and main the work area in line with work schedules and in an efficient manner, ensuring a safe environment or all.
2. follow Best practice procedures associated with cleaning and control of infection.
3. ensure all cleaning equipment is used correctly and then cleaned, and stored away after use. Also, to check the equipment before use for any faults.
4. Ensure chemicals are used correctly, in line with the COSHH procedure.
5. undertake regular cleaning duties including the emptying of bins, damp dusting, cleaning of toilet areas and vacuuming. in addition, carry out periodic activities including carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning and curtain changes.
6. wash walls and clean hard surface floors as per the planned programme.
7. To be helpful, friendly, professional and compassionate with all patients, visitors, and staff in the unit
8. fire safety; follow the Trusts fire safety procedures and direction from the ward cinical team.
9. take part in any other training required.
10. undertake other duties as required, following appropriate training
You will be cleaning in secure environments therefore we will be processing Disclosure Scotland criminal record checking. The recruitment process will be much quicker if you can supply a current DBS check for yourself. Applicants must disclose upon application criminal convictions and will also need to be able to provide us with a 5 year check-able work/educational history.
