We are currently looking for an approachable and committed Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant to join our team. This opportunity requires an individual to undertake site and office based work supporting UK-wide delivery of brownfield regeneration schemes for a range of public and private sector clients. This role includes opportunities to contribute to work winning and improving client relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
• You'll provide consultancy services in relation to geo-environmental assessments by undertaking both office and site based work.
• Delivering desk studies, site investigations, risk assessments and remediation projects will be key requirements of the role.
• You'll undertake site supervision during site investigations, remediation, demolition and construction programmes including liaison with internal/external clients and management of sub-contractors.
• Act as project manager on small or medium-sized projects and progress towards leading large projects.
• You'll work with colleagues to develop and improve your existing skills in geo-environmental assessments and in qualitative and quantitative risk assessments.
• Develop understanding of relevant British Standards and other relevant design guides to support your work.
• You'll lead in the production of proposals/bids
• You'll enjoy developing and nurturing new and existing client relationships that will form positive relationships with key clients to support future design opportunities
• The Senior Geo-Environment Consultant will prepare clear, concise well written reports to clients
• You'll follow the company Health, Safety & Environmental Policies ensuring safety first always for your colleagues and self.
Qualifications Required:
Qualified to degree level, preferably to MSc level in a relevant environmental science. Working towards attaining Chartership status with an appropriate professional body.
Experience Required:
• Computer-literate with accomplished skill in MS Office
• Knowledge of industry best practice and legislation in the brownfield redevelopment industry
• Track record in successful project delivery
• Experience of project delivery on land regeneration frameworks i.e. gas infrastructure/utility clients is desirable
• Full Clean Driving Licence
