Previous applicants may apply The Learning Partnership for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly Ltd (LPCo) is looking for an energetic and dynamic leader to fulfil the post of CEO, following the retirement of the current (and only) incumbent.
The company was formed in 2001 to maximise the impact of European Social Fund (ESF) funding through developing and supporting the delivery of services to young people, employed and unemployed adults and businesses through partnership working.
Since that time it has successfully delivered services funded by the ESF to the value of £60M supporting nearly 40,000 individuals helping them to improve life chances.
A diversification of funding streams is happening through Education Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) [Apprenticeships and Adult Education Budget (AEB)] and Cornwall Council (youth and care services).
Now is a very exciting time for the company as it continues its development and the merger with two smaller partner organisations. Over the past year, the staff team has been expanded and strengthened, significant new contracts have been secured and further tendering is in progress.
We are looking for an individual with leadership experience and sound knowledge of a number of the following: commissioning; EU funding; not for profit organisations; the voluntary and community sector; the training/education sector; the wellbeing or social care sector; the youth sector.
The CEO will need to operate in an environment of extensive and open partnership and have the experience and ability to run a diverse, complex multi-million pound organisation. The desire to have beneficial impact on partnership working in Cornwall and The Isles of Scilly is essential.
