Help us turn great homes into great communities.

Teign Housing is a successful social landlord employing over 90 ambitious, committed people, responsible for managing more than 3,600 homes across South Devon.

As our Senior Neighbourhood Services Advisor, you will provide a high quality, customer-focused and accessible housing management service to make certain our residents enjoy their homes to the full. This will involve supervising a team of Advisors to ensure we build happy and sustainable communities, whilst delivering cleaner, greener and safer living environments.

In particular, you will assist the Neighbourhood Services Manager in developing budgets, strategies and KPIs and monitor the performance of a team of Neighbourhood Services Advisors to make certain that they resolve residents’ queries quickly, accurately and professionally. At the same time, you will become very visible within the community as you conduct property viewings, interview and assess potential tenants and undertake neighbourhood inspections and walkabouts, listening to residents’ concerns and involving other agencies as appropriate to deliver solutions. Naturally, helping people to prepare for Universal Credit and other Welfare Reform measures is also vitally important.

What’s more, we will look to you to minimise voids and maximise our income, together with enforcing tenancy conditions whenever required, which could include implementing legal action. Consequently, you will require sound experience within housing and estate management, giving you a good knowledge of best practice and legislation within social housing.

We place great emphasis on making the best use of your time.  We are, therefore, introducing mobile working so that staff can work from ‘dropdown zones’ out on the patch.  Essentially, we are raising our profile out in communities and taking services closer to customers.

Building productive working relationships with diverse stakeholders should be second nature to you, and you should be capable of taking considered decisions and communicating effectively. Finally, it is vital that you are numerate and commercially astute, determined and resilient – and passionate about making a difference to the lives of our residents.

In return, we offer an excellent benefits package with a contributory pension scheme, 25 days’ leave per year plus bank holidays, free parking and a modern working environment.
