Trainee DSA Assessor

Make a positive difference to the lives of dyslexic and disabled students by providing a proactive and professional service at Chace. As a Trainee DSA Assessor, there will be opportunities for growth with a tailored training program and opportunities to travel to Chace’s various offices. 

Person Specification

  • Educated to degree level
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Driving Licence essential
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Relevant transferrable experience

Trainee DSA Assessor Duties

  • Assessing study support and IT requirements for students
  • Provide detailed written reports on information gathered for DSA funding
  • Undertaking continued assessor training and professional development
  • Upholding Chace’s policies and maintaining an overview of related external policies
  • Travelling between different centres in South Wales

Training Program

The successful candidates will engage in a training program which will equip them with the skills required for independent assessing.  

The DSA Assessor training program will include: observations of interviews and assessments, a personal development portfolio, and reviews of written reports. Upon successful completion of training the salary will increase to £24,000.
