They are now looking to recruit an Extra Care Scheme Assistant to join them to provide an effective scheme based function to the Independent Living Service and customers residing within Extra care through the delivery of housing management services and a range of activities that promote health and wellbeing of tenants.

Signposting tenants via referrals to social workers, tenancy support, money advice and other services with the aim to help minimise debt, maximise income and sustain tenancies. You must maintain positive working relationships with the commissioned care company, social workers and health professionals and support the Extra Care Scheme Coordinator and manager in the overall management of the day to day running of the scheme including the maintenance, appearance and cleanliness of the building and its facilities.

You must ensure all void properties are progressed to ensure minimum void times, liaising with the voids team and Salford City Council and other partners to ensure properties are let in a timely manner and that tenancies are sustainable; actively promoting the extra care scheme, show potential customers and partner agencies around the scheme and promote the services provided by the company.

With experience of working within a customer focussed environment and an understanding of current legislation related to tenancy management, anti-social behaviour, rents and supported tenancies, you must have experience in the use of Microsoft office software in particular Outlook, Word, Excel and Access. 

Due to the nature of the role, alternate weekend working is a requirement for the role and you must have a full driving licence, access to a car and housing experience gained working within older persons.
