About the job

We are recruiting for a Live Loud! Project Worker to implement the development and delivery of the Parkinson’s UK Live Loud! programme across the Cwm Taf, ABMU and South Powys areas of South Wales.

Working closely with the South Wales Local Development team and the Parkinson’s UK Area Development Manager for South Wales, the post holder will have responsibility for ensuring Live Loud! schemes that are developed are inclusive, fully evaluated and effectively support people whose communication has been affected by Parkinson’s.

The post holder will work closely with our Volunteer Co-ordinator to recruit, train and support volunteers who will be delivering this innovative communication support project within their community.

Skills and knowledge

To be successful, you will have experience of supporting volunteers and have excellent organisational, communication and time management skills.

You will be a friendly and approachable communicator who enjoys working in partnership with internal and external colleagues as a key part of the role will be to effectively promote the Live Loud! programme to aid awareness and encourage referrals to the schemes.

If you will be driving, you need to have held your full UK driving license for a minimum of one year. The successful candidate will also be required to provide their own broadband and phone service with a minimum download speed of 2Mb to support home working.

If you have the skills and experience we require, with a passion to improve the quality of life of people affected by Parkinson’s we would be delighted to hear from you.
