The Role 

As an Electronics Engineer, you will support the design and development of our client’s ophthalmic instruments. 

In this key role, your time will be split 50/50 between developing new products and helping the Production Engineering Team to improve existing designs. 

Specifically, you will: 

- Manage the introduction of new electronic designs, from concept through to manufacture 
- Capture schematics using CAD packages (our client uses Pulsonix)
- Bench test technical concepts 
- Design PCB layouts  

About You 

To be considered as an Electronics Engineer, you’ll need: 

- Previous experience in an electronics design role 
- A good understanding and experience of digital design, including microcontrollers, display and camera interfaces
- Experience of resolving electronic manufacturing issues and obsolescence management
- A track record of designing test equipment
