There is now a new exciting opportunity for a individual with a Science or Chemistry related degree and good analytical skills to join their existing team.

THE ROLE: As an Analytical Development Chemist you will report to the AD/CMC Manager where you will be responsible for the organisation and administration of the stability programme working in close collaboration with the QC Stability Team. You will support the AD/CMC Manager with regulatory and analytical compliance of material specifications including compilation of Justification of Specification (JoS) reports. You will provide support to the LIMS administrator with QC LIMS and assist with data integrity reviews of the Chromatography Data Systems and Stability Incubator Monitoring System. Working as part of the analytical team, you will participate in analytical equipment qualification activities, analytical method development and validation activities and assess ongoing compliance of analytical methods with current pharmacopoeia, including the potential impact of proposed pharmacopoeial changes on existing methods, validation and CMC regulatory compliance.

This role would be suitable for new Graduates with a willingness to learn as well as Individuals with experience in the Pharma, Chemistry or Science industry.

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Analytical Development Chemist's role must have a Degree or equivalent qualification in a Science related discipline and will be familiar with a wide range of analytical techniques. You should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programmes and have the ability to effectively assist with electronic data systems. You should have good attention to detail with strong collaborative, problem-solving skills and the ability to critically analyse data and compile reports. You will have good attention to detail and as a motivated individual, you will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You should have knowledge/understanding of the importance of compliance with GMP regulations, guidelines and legislation in a pharmaceutical environment. Candidates should either live in or be able to commute to Callanish, Isle of Lewis and although applicants looking to relocate will still be considered, please note there is no relocation package with this role.

Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Analytical Development Chemist's role in Callanish, Isle of Lewis :-

- Must have hold a Degree or equivalent qualification in a Science related discipline
- Must be highly organised and accurate with experience on wide range of analytical techniques
- Good IT skills and ability to learn new in house systems essential
- Must live within or be able to easily commute to Callanish, Isle of Lewis
- Although not essential experience in a similar role in the Pharmaceutical (Chemical or Bio-pharma) highly desirable as is previous working knowledge of EUGMP/CGMP, ICH standards and a knowledge and understanding of appropriate GMP Regulations.
