Payroll Specialist – Part Time (14 Month Maternity Cover)

We’re looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team, working across Finance and HR to ensure the smooth running of our payroll processes.  

This is a 14 month maternity cover contract, working on a part time basis. This role has the opportunity to work flexible hours. 
  
What will you be doing? 

- Own the end-to-end monthly payroll process and support the weekly and monthly finance reporting 
- Be responsible for the yearly payroll processes, including issuing all P11D/P60s 
- Own the starters and leavers process from a payroll perspective 
- Ensure payroll variations are all up-to-date to include additions, deductions and any variable pay issues that arise 
- Manage the monthly pension and workplace benefits processes, as well as responding to salary and payroll queries 
  
We’d love to hear from you if ... 

You are an experienced payroll professional, super organised with the ability to manage strict deadlines paying close attention to detail with the ability to work accurately. 

You’ll have: 
- At least 5 years’ previous payroll experience, from at least 2 different companies 
- The ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment 
- Excellent attention to detail 
- Previous experience with meeting multiple deadlines 
- Excellent communication skills 
- The initiative to work on your own or as a part of the wider team 
- Comprehensive knowledge of payroll systems, MS Word and Excel 

Even better if you have: 
- Previous experience working with Workday/ADP 
- A CIPP qualification
