ERSKINE has been caring for Veterans for over 100 years.  Our four purpose built Care Homes provide quality care of the elderly in a homely environment.  We currently have opportunities for the following in the Erskine Home and the Erskine Park Home:

Modern Apprentice Care Assistants

37.5 hours per week - including shift / weekend work

                   (2 Year Apprenticeship with guaranteed offer of permanent employment)

16 – 19 Years Old (Prior to 31 December 2018)

Salary £13,291 per annum

Erskine is keen to recruit Modern Apprentice Care Assistants who are committed to the care of older people to enable them to live as full, active and independent life as possible.

With the support and supervision of Senior Care Staff, you will provide personal care to residents, support them at mealtimes and escort them to activities such as physiotherapy classes or games in the Activities Room promoting independence, respect and dignity at all times.

During your apprenticeship you will receive valuable in-house training to enhance your learning. You must be willing to complete a SVQ Health Care and Social Services (SCQF Level 6) and register with the Scottish Social Services Council. 

You will require National 4 - 5s (including English), or the equivalent Standard Grades 1 -3.

In addition to the above you should also have the desire to learn, possess good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

The successful candidates will start their apprenticeship in September 2018.
