Logistics and Planning Manager
Job Elements: -
·Support and manage customer delivery /supplier delivery / forwarder management / scheduling / materials management
·Support warehousing improvement opportunities / optimization and activities that are in alignment with plant and regional strategy
·Lead internal team meeting within the department on daily basis to evaluate plan vs execution, root causes for deviations, look for possible countermeasures.Discuss with other departments on daily basis outcome of internal meeting, highlight issues, define countermeasures.
·Identify and evaluate improvement opportunities in the plant with respect to: scheduling / information and material flow / materials movement to POU / sequencing / mode of transport / logistics network and frequency / warehousing / purchasing / etc.
·Train and coach employees
·Set SMART and achievable Performance Management Plan (PMP) targets
·Develop teams, identify weaknesses and set a plan to strengthen the team
What the company are seeking in the successful candidate: -
·Degree in Logistics/ Supply Chain Management or comparable education
·People management experience
·Experience with SAP
·Experience in a manufacturing company- High Volume/ High Mix
·Experience in Materials Management or Logistics and Supplier Chain Management. Also Scheduling/ procurement/ operations and manufacturing.
·Strong computer skills - including Access; Excel; and other Microsoft applications
