PHP Developer (in house / remote)

Contract Flooring Solutions Limited is a national flooring contractor serving the UK housebuilding market, serving large PLC groups such as Barratt Homes, Bovis Homes and Persimmon.  We operate out of multiple hubs in the UK, as well as our central distribution and head office facility in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire.

Over the past 8 years, we have developed our own internal systems, colloquially known to us as "The Hub".  This system runs everything, including our stock, CRM, aftercare, forecasting and document storage.  It also aids in our logistic planning.

It has reached the point now that a part-time PHP developer can no longer keep up with the changes and additions that we need to keep our company at the pinnacle of technology, and as such we are seeking a permanent in-house PHP developer.

Projects will include:

• Updating of old PHP5 modules to PHP7
• Creating new modules as the company requires, including immediate modules for tendering and resource planning.
• Database maintenance.
• Project planning
• Develope a retail sales system for use in our new outlets (early days)

The position will report directly to the Technical Director.  Work can be done remotely, although a good proportion of your time will be required within our modern offices.

Key skills/working knowledge required:

• PHP7
• MySQL
• AWS (S3)
• jQuery (3)
• JavaScript (basic)
• Drag and Drop functionality
• Bootstrap / Mobile layouts

A good general understanding of web servers and server hardware will also be an advantage, but not essential.

This is not a temporary role.  We have expanded our company by over 25% each year and as we continue to grow, our systems and infrastructure will need to grow with us.  As such we require a person who will grow with our company and provide continuity to our ever-expanding IT infrastructure,
