Lifting Equipment Engineer

We have an opportunity to add another LEEA qualified Lifting Equipment Engineer to our team.

This will be a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week between 8.00 am and 4.30 pm. There will be a requirement to work overtime and weekends from time to time.

Role Duties

  • To undertake LOLER examinations of lifting equipment and height safety equipment at the customers' premises or in our workshop
  • To undertake the servicing, repair and installation of lifting and height safety equipment
  • Across all activities the job holder will, with the appropriate training, operate and use mobile plant, mechanical lifting and handling equipment, tools and other equipment in a safe and competent manner ensuring that they are correctly maintained and stored
  • To operate in accordance with the relevant HSE legislation, company standards and codes of practice

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • You will have experience in the examination and repair of a range of lifting and height safety equipment
  • You will hold or be willing to train to the LEEA General qualification
  • Experience maintaining and repairing overhead cranes would be beneficial
  • Fitness to meet the physical demands of the role
  • Ability to work as part of a team or on your own without close supervision
  • Hold a full UK driving licence
