JOB TITLE: Finance Analyst

LOCATION: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire

SALARY & BENEFITS: GBP25,000 - GBP35,000 depending on experience and qualifications

WORKING HOURS: Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:30

THE ROLE: We are currently recruiting for a Finance Analyst to join our established team in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. The purpose of the position is to provide financial modelling, processing and reporting support to the Publishing Finance Business Partner team, plus other finance business partners as required.

Key responsibilities of the Finance Analyst will include:
  • Budget and forecast preparation and analysis
  • Creating system based solutions to aid modelling and improve team efficiency
  • Liaising with other departments to ensure consistency and accuracy of data inputs
  • Reconciliation of data between systems
  • Other financial reporting support as required by the Commercial Finance Director and Finance Business Partner team
  • Analyse financial data by collecting, monitoring and creating financial models
  • Assisting with Monthly Management Accounts preparation
  • Providing regular internal reporting updates on key business drivers

THE CANDIDATE: The successful Finance Analyst will be highly proficient using a variety of systems with the ability to learn bespoke company systems. You will be a strong communicator on all levels with the confidence to present complex data in simplified manner.

Key skills and experience required for the Finance Analyst role based in Peterborough:
  • Advanced excel capability, including manipulation of large data sets
  • Understanding of data architecture within finance systems, allowing effective extraction and linking of data from different internal sources
  • Ability to work at speed to a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively under direction from senior finance managers and as part of a shared service accounts team
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to present complex information in a simplified manner
  • Team player with good presentation and communications skills
  • Qualified Finance professional (ACCA/CIMA or similar) is desirable
