Job Title: Wealth Processing Manager Chief Controls Office
Location: Glasgow

Wealth Processing Chief Controls Office (CCO) is a dedicated team responsible for risk, control and oversight within the Investment Operations. The role of the team is to provide assurance primarily through the identification and mitigation of risk on all operating platforms across Wealth Processing. CCO are responsible for the design and implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework.

As VP Wealth Processing CCO, responsibilities will be covered via 7 key pillars of activity, Framework Implementation, Controls Testing, Operations Collaboration, Execution of CCO Strategy, Reporting & Governance, People and Effective Working.

Your Role
* Oversight of Wealth Processing functions to ensure that Wealth Processing operates in control and in line with the Enterprise Risk Management Framework
* Oversight of Operations in Barclays Global Service Centre (Chennai)
* Production of compelling risk reporting packs/updates to be delivered for key risk & control forums
* Attendance as required at the relevant risk forums across Operations and the Business to represent Wealth Processing
* Coordination of the effective and timely completion of the RCSA process for Transaction Operations acting on delegation for the Key Horizontal Owner
* Responsible for the strategic control automation agenda ensuring key targets are met throughout the year
* Responsible for the overall delivery of the Wealth Processing Controls Testing plan, with communication of results to senior stakeholder groups
* Management of assurance issues and actions ensuring timely completion and effective accountability within the Operations Leadership Team
* Understanding of the Appointed Representative Regime and on-going status of control effectiveness across Operations and understand and challenge where necessary the services consumed
* Senior escalation point for all Operational risk issues


Essential Skills
* Proven experience of risk and control frameworks is essential
* Previous experience demonstrated across one of the three line of defence
* The ideal candidate will have previous experience across investment operations
* Strong stakeholder management with an ability to negotiate and solicit engagement at all levels within the organisation up to Managing Director level
* Strong control mindset and understanding of the importance of a robust governance and control structure, and what that means for Wealth Processing

Desirable Skills
* Educated to degree level or equivalent or have an appropriate professional qualification e.g. IRM, IIA, ACA etc.
* The ideal candidate will be focused on excellence and delivery, resilient and able to work with many and varied deliverables.
* Experience of setting and directing the objectives and responsibilities of the team with demonstrable success in driving the team to deliver desired and timely outcomes to those objectives.
