Quality Assurance Engineer

Quality and Technical Engineer.
We are looking to recruit a Quality Engineer for an electronics
distribution company based in Theale in Berkshire. The role would be
ideal for a person looking to use their
technical skills and knowledge across all divisions within the company.
You will join the technical engineering team and be involved with the
following-
Quality Management
Monitor and implement QA systems to BS / NQA statutory requirements.
Management, interpretation, implementation of external procedures and
specifications.
Preparation of QA Procedures as required by Customers.
Auditing of QA systems for the Company.
Generating relevant reports for QA assessment and review each month
QA System policing.
Responding to customer quality and product problems under RMA Management.
Prepare for and implement NQA review and annual assessment.
Completion of necessary QA documents required by Customers / QA system
requirements.
Returns Management
Capture and Record return data from website, Suppliers and Customers
direct.
Assist with initiation procedure including customer support and advise.
Check and verify acceptance of returned items.
Liaise with Customer / Suppliers / Operations / Stores /Sales & Finance
as appropriate.
Create / supply CAR internal records and customer as required.
Test and evaluate returns from customers.
Test and evaluate warranty replacements / repaired items.
Update RMA systems and Paperwork as required.
Filing and update of System files and hard copy filing system.
Technical Support and Design
Customer technical support as required on a daily basis.
Co-ordinating & Responding to customer related RoHS/Conflict materials.
GeneraL Electronics design and testing as required.
Assembly of HLA solutions and sub assemblies as required.
Assist Sales team with customer's technical queries & offering Value Add
Solutions (HLA)
Write and assist with Technical proposals / tenders / quotations /
drawings as required
Research, investigate and provide technical information for potential
projects / sales
Design / Develop test equipment for production testing of products for
customers
Design, develop and assemble sample / demonstration kits for Sales
Operational
Incoming goods inspection, testing and validation to agreed drawings &
specifications
Handling QA related issues to non-conforming materials for all suppliers
Testing of incoming goods (pre-shipment inspection)
Assembly and final test, inspection of products supplied part assembled
for customers
Skills & Qualifications required
Degree / HNC / ONC or similar in engineering or electronics discipline
ISO900:2015 Certified / understanding to BSI / NQA standard
Auditor qualification / training would be an advantage
Skills
Understanding of ESD Compliance
Ability to work with minimum of supervision
Familiar with Windows OS and MS Office packages
Familiar with 3D and CAD design software systems
Ability to program (C, C++, Linux etc..) would be an advantage
Experience with popular R&D test lab equipment: (DMM,Oscilloscopes,
Analsyers, PCs etc)
Experience with soldering equipment used in modern technology
Capable hands on assembly and development techniques.
