Manufacturing Shift Leader - Quedgeley
About the Role
To ensure all components / products meet specification requirements
and quality standards whilst ensuring operatives achieve set machine
targets. To manage the shop floor on an hourly and daily basis
ensuring staff are motivated and disciplined accordingly. To assist
supervisor in the daily & weekly running of the shop floor
Work involves frequent lifting of materials and products. Some
machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment. These
include eye safety glasses, hearing protectors and safety boots, that
must be worn at all times. Uniform and any protective clothing will be
provided
Key Requirements
* Very clear communication skills
* Good leadership skills
* Ability to motive a team
* Ensure set targets are achieved
* Effectively manage operators time
* Targets and paper work recorded correctly
* Shop floor policies are followed
* Conduct team brief at start of shift
* Maintain a clean and tidy department
* Be clear on company procedures
* Good knowledge of health and safety
* Ability to read and understand drawings
* Ability to read measuring equipment
* Manage any noncompliance of policies
* Assist with problem solving
* Keen team player
* Good social skills
* Positive attitude
* Shows a willingness to learn
Skills and Experience:
* Previous experience of using machinery
* Experience of working to quality procedures
* Previous leadership experience
* Trained in machine relevant TPM
* Ability to use measuring equipment
* Basic Health and Safety knowledge
Temp to Perm opportunity working on a 6.00am - 2.00pm / 2.00pm -
10.00pm shift rotation
GBP10.70 per hour
