An excellent new opportunity has arisen for a highly client service focussed Relationship Manager to join our prestigious client, based in Sheffield.

This exciting new role will involve working collaboratively to develop and support relationships with a number of varied key stakeholders. Face to face contact is crucially important to the success of this role, as is all methods of efficient and effective communications.

The successful candidate will possess strong client service and communication skills, a passion for developing and nurturing excellent professional working relationships, and will have proven experience dealing with a range of external stakeholders.

Experience working within a consultancy like environment or working in a membership organisation would be advantageous.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

* Develop and support relationships with key stakeholders, the wider industry, the supply chain and other relevant associations
* Implement strategic communications and engagement plans including organisation of and attendance/presentation at meetings, workshops and events to inform and represent the organisation and its members
* Develop and deliver a program of stakeholder engagement, working with internal teams and colleagues and key strategic external stakeholders to ensure key messages are clearly communicated and issues identified and managed
* Responsible for the management of related budgets and involvement in the budget planning process
* Contribute to strategic planning by understanding members' needs and responsible for translating into operational plans that are effectively implemented
* Line management of team members
* Support the satisfaction and retention of members including management of the membership renewal process
* Continuously review the membership offering to ensure it is fit for purpose
* Develop a membership customer journey, identifying key touch points and sales opportunities for training programmes and events that support membership income
* Work with all colleagues to identify to recruit members and identify revenue opportunities
* Monitoring of the external environment to understand potential impact on the industry, members and the organisation
* Management and delivery of presentations, briefings and reports to stakeholders to update on activity and issues
* Work with the Communications team to develop member communications through all channels including ensuring the membership community area of the website is effective
* Keep up to date and evaluate the impact of legislation on members operations in manufacturing and sustain their businesses
* Involvement in developing operational plans and the implementation thereof
* Providing a key point of contact for members and other collaborative partners and relations
* Understand potential changes to the membership systems and operations - influence members bringing them into the new ways of working - change management

Person Specification:

* Educated to degree level or relevant experience
* Project management experience
* Line management and supervisory skills
* Experience of working in a stakeholder engagement function
* Proven experience of achieving corporate goals through effective relationship management
* Multi-tasking abilities
* Experience of working with a variety of people at different levels at any one time
* Strong relationship building capabilities
* Outstanding communication, questioning, listening, writing and presentation skills
* Experience of working in a flexible working environment
* Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
* Comfortable with change and transition
* Strong client service skills, working with a wide range of members and potential members
* Ability to deal with a range of external stakeholders
* High attention to detail, with excellent administration, co-ordination and planning skills
* Ability to be proactive in resolving difficult issues and problem solving
* Energetic and self-motivated with the ability to motivate and inspire others
* Computer and social media literate (Microsoft package, database management)

Working hours are Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours a week
