CAD Technician/Design Engineer
Aluminium fabrication facility, Birmingham

Salary up to GBP36,000
This is a great opportunity for an experienced CAD Technician/Design Engineer to join a well-established Engineering Consultancy at an Aluminium fabrication facility in Birmingham.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience of pressed and fabricated metal sections and processes for the construction industry and be competent in AutoCAD (2D) and Radan applications with any previous experience in estimating also welcome. The candidate will be PC liberate and have a knowledge of Microsoft office.
This full time role will be primarily office based with general hours of work being.
Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 5.00pm
Friday - 8.30am - 4.30pm
Key responsibilities of this CAD Technician/Design Engineer role include;
- Working as part of a technical team under the guidance of a Technical manager
- To liaise between sales and production to ratify and translate to a production process the sales requirement.
- To interpret customer's drawings and requirements to create parts and program CNC punch's using Radan.
- To prepare customers drawings for the production staff using AutoCAD
- To assist the production team with stock quantification and procurement
- To contribute, where possible, to the sales team with the production of working/ parts drawings etc. as required.
