The purpose of the Senior Business Analyst is to play a lead role in the delivery of business change by using specialised business analysis & change management skills. As the Senior Business Analyst you'll help business stakeholders identify & articulate the need for change, shape the work required to deliver this, lead the project in defining requirements and recommend solutions that will maximise the value delivered by Allianz to its customers.
Key responsibilities include:
Working with senior stakeholders in defining business visions and developing the strategies to meet these via strategic analyses, feasibility studies and business cases.
Development and application of business analysis best practice tools, techniques and standards.
Leading, line managing, mentoring and coaching others on the business analysis career path and/or a programme, project or initiative.
Working closely with Project Managers and other key stakeholders to set up, scope and initiate change programmes, projects and initiatives to deliver business benefits - defining, owning and agreeing the BA Framework to be applied.
Working to understand the existing business environment, business needs and eliciting business requirements from stakeholders at all levels of seniority. Managing end-to-end clear traceability, maintenance, prioritisation, change control and approval mechanisms.
Recommending potential business solutions in line with business objectives, data needs and requirements. Supporting the development of solutions by working closely with solution partners and suppliers.
Learning from previous experience and understanding how benefits have been delivered by participating in post implementation reviews, lessons learned sessions and knowledge share/peer reviews.
Skills and Experience:
* Experience or demonstrable knowledge of the insurance industry including products, services and differing business models.
* High degree of organisation, task planning and time management.
* Experience of communicating to and influencing a range of stakeholders
* Expertise in defining and leading business analysis approaches within Waterfall and Agile methodologies from business change and systems development perspectives.
* Application of recognised industry standard modelling techniques including data modelling.
* Experience and knowledge of systems lifecycle concepts used to plan, develop, implement, operate and maintain IT systems/services.
* Experience and/or certification in project management methods such as PRINCE2, APMP and Agile are desirable.
