Do you pride yourself on your ability to deliver outstanding customer service? If you do we may have a role that suits you. We're looking for a Facilities Assistant to join the team in Southampton, providing crucial support to the whole office. The hours will be 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. This is a fixed term contract for 6 months. What will you be doing? The Facilities Assistant role is a busy one and requires someone who is resourceful and organised. Being a law firm we generate a lot of documents so you'll be required to deal with post room requests from our Lawyers and Support staff as well as external providers of postal and logistics services. You'll need to be able to work to deadlines and enjoy interacting with lots of different people - this is where your great customer service skills come in. Essentially the role will involve processing all mail (incoming and outgoing), high volumes of photocopying and scanning, as well as printing emails and other large documents. You'll assist the Facilities Supervisor with general duties and work with the Guest Services team in preparing for any events or functions. Our Facilities Services team are one of the many teams that keep our business running smoothly. They make sure that we have a great office environment to work in and all the facilities we need to be successful. This includes our catering facilities, reception teams, building maintenance, post room and operational support. We couldn't function without them. What skills are needed? This role needs some previous office based experience. You'll need to be able to multi-task but still maintain attention to detail, you'll be a motivated team-player with excellent communication skills and have the ability to be flexible and consistently helpful. You must also be self-motivated and have the ability to work on your own initiative. Strong IT skills are needed as you'll be operating some complex equipment but don't worry we will give you training.
