We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Electrical Engineer to join us as a part of the maintenance and overhaul team working across Derbyshire site. This role will be based from our site in Alfreton -

Role Description

Reporting to a Supervising Engineer or responsible person, you be tasked with undertaking electrical activities on dedicated areas of the plant within an overhaul or breakdown team. Within the team the Electrical and Mechanical Engineers will be responsible for the safety of themselves and co-workers, task completion, quality of workmanship, quality control and self-management.

The fitting activities you will be involved in will be located both on-site and in our workshop including a variety of mechanical equipment, both rotating plant and static equipment. During these activities, you will be expected to maintain all quality assurance requirements and maintain an ethos of quality throughout all your activities as well ensuring and promotion of safety at all times.

Required skills and experience

* Time served Indentured apprenticeship or equivalent or NVQ L3/4 is essential
* You must be able to demonstrate technical knowledge of mechanical systems, plant and equipment in a generating utility company
* Be proficient, qualified and have a sound track record in good mechanical fitting procedures and practices
* Be familiar with the use of metric and imperial measuring equipment including but not limited to internal and external micrometers, slip gauges etc.
* Computer literate with standard IT Tools such as MS Office
