cazden are recruiting for a part time, IP assistant to be part of our clients team based in Edinburgh.
As an IP Assistant you will work closely with the IP Manager and the Engineering and R&D teams, you will be helping build and maintaining fast-growing intellectual property portfolio in a cutting-edge technology. You will primarily do this through researching and generating technical material in the broad field of optical wireless communications. You will be taught IP and patenting processes and policies during your day-to-day role.
Essential
Experience or education in optical communications, wireless communications or optical wireless communication;
Graduate level research experience in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a similar field.
An enthusiasm and willingness to quickly learn new, highly technical concepts and solve complex problems;
Good analytical skills;
Good communication and writing skills;
Ability to work independently;
Desirable
Technical drawing skills;
Experience with IP generation and/or patenting law;
