The primary objective of this role is to assist the Head of Learning Area in providing professional leadership and management, for Science ensuring high standards of teaching and learning, achievement and engagement of students. Be a qualified Science teacher (ideally PGCE, GTP, B'ed, Cert Ed, BA with QTS). - Demonstrate Relevant specialist qualifications and experience in any science subject specialism with the ability to teach at all key stages and all abilities - Show evidence of continuing professional development or relevant research - Ensure the potential of all students is fulfilled by planning and delivering stimulating and challenging lessons which meet the needs of all learners - Maintain high expectations of students' behaviour and achievement, and to establish excellent relationships with students. - Monitor and record the progress of students using Assessment for Learning strategies and in accordance with Academy assessment policies. - Be an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who leads by example. - Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills with excellent behaviour management strategies. * Secondary School jobs
