Manufacturing Engineer - CNC 
Bristol 
 
The Company: 
 
Our client is an established and growing Bristol-based aerospace sub-contract manufacturing company, making exclusively flight components on a ‘build to print’ basis for a range of customers in the UK and abroad.

They are now seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join the busy Engineering team and assist in managing their manufacturing processes. Usual batch sizes are from 1 to 300 in Stainless Steels, Aluminium, Yellow Metals, Titanium and occasionally Inconel, and range from simple bushes to complex multi-axis parts.

Your Role: 

- Liaise with production, quality and shop floor teams solving problems as they arise
- Manage NPI, plan manufacturing operations via route cards and manufacturing elements of the MRP system 
- Manage the on-line CNC programming of lathes and mill-turn machines 
- Liaise with tooling suppliers regarding the specification of tooling and design of fixtures 
- Purchase and manage consignment (vending machine) tooling stock 
- Assist the Production and Quality teams with issues that may arise 
 
About You: 
 
Requirements:
 
- Experience of cutting metal with CNC machine tools (primarily lathes and mill turn machines) 
- Experience of aerospace or automotive industries, quality systems and methodology
- Experience of CNC programming either on or off-line
- Competency at reading drawings and GD&T
- Aerospace experience is beneficial
