Job Role
• Visit customers sites to carry out testing of water services and collection of microbiological/chemical samples for laboratory analysis to ensure compliance with current legislation
• Complete service reports
• Carry out on site testing of cooling towers, steam boilers and closed heating/chilled systems
• Fill out site log books and keep logbooks up to date
• Liaise with customers on site to discuss test results
• Assist with cleaning and disinfection of water tanks, cooling systems and descaling calorifiers
• Assist with cleaning and flushing of closed heating/chilled systems
• Service company dosing and control equipment and associated plant
The applicant should: -
• Have a good knowledge of biology and chemistry or environmental sciences
• Have experience in the water analysis of wet cooling towers, steam boilers and closed systems
• Be practically minded
• Be able to work in a team
• Be IT literate
• Be self-managing and have the ability to work to specific deadlines, as required
• Be able to travel and work away from home as the situation requires
• Full UK driving licence essential
• Must pass a DBS check
The job is based primarily in the home counties but may involve travel UK-wide
